The plant in the foreground was dying off in late autumn. I don't know what it is, whether it's a weed or a cultivated plant. I am not even sure if the magenta tassels are flowers or fruit. The graceful arc described by the drooping plant, and the way it framed the autumnal vegetation in the background, appealed to me. This is a view of Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver.
