A Magnificent Weed

This plant is a hedge mustard which I found growing out of a crack between the bottom of a wall and a paved parking area. I called it magnificent because without soil, or any obvious source of water or nutrients, it had grown into quite a bush, at least four feet high and the same in breadth. In hot summer weather it supported flowers, seed pods, and leaves. In spite of its size and robustness, because it was just an urban weed, it was virtually invisible. I thought it deserved some recognition, and painted it close to actual size, at 40 x 30 inches.
