This painting depicts a fellow member of the former Vancouver Sketch Club who was busy drawing from the model. I painted twelve artists at work between 2012 and 2014. Like all my other artists, this one, in her striking black and white clothes and accessories, was totally absorbed in her activity. Her curtain of hair insulates her from the world.
Acrylic, 2012, 20x16 ins. The woman in the painting now owns it.
