The Message

This is a self-portrait. It started with a photo of a newly purchased mirror--I was not actually trying to photograph myself, but my face and phone got into the picture, and interested me as a subject for a painting. The challenge was to capture the expression on the face of the woman, who appears to be upset? worried? alarmed? by the message she is reading.
